BT-Yellow Bootleg Lambor Review

Name: Lambor
Series: Binaltech
Packaging: Window (Robot Master style box)

Manufactured By: A/L
Variations: Binaltech Lambor (Takara), Alternator Sideswipe (Hasbro)
Notes: This a the bootleg of theoriginal version except its colored yellow.

Toy Review by: Mark

Description:

Like his counterpart BT-Yellow Bootleg Lambor (Sideswipe in the US) has almost 85% percent die-cast, and plastic mould of the original TAKARA version with the exception that he's colored yellow. The downside it the assembly which we will go through with this review.

Officially TAKARA or Hasbro did not released any where there's a large demand for it. Alot of fans where expecting that the Dead End mould would turn out to be Sunstreaker. Lambor's younger brother turns out to be one of the most feared Decepticon Stunticon.

But due to the release of the un-official yellow colored Lambor Takara has released a news, that they are going to release the official version.

Vehicle Mode:

Viper SR-10 Dodge Chrysler is definitely one sports car I haven't seen physically in real life here in Manila. There might be some but its rarely I'll be seeing one running around the city streets.

Going back this bootleg Lambor has all the features on the real thing, and what made him a hot commodity is because he's colored yellow.

The Yellow paint job on this BT matches the quality of the original Red Lambor TAKARA and Hasbro officially released way back. The downside about it is the yellow paint doesn't match with the yellow plastic parts. The rear tire sticks out a bit and it doesn't much roll freely. What can you expect since this a bootleg created by a toy manufacturer known only as A/L. The other additional downside is that the plastic joints ar easily loosen up.

They also released versions of Hound, Silverstreak, Smokescreen, Red Lambor, and Swindle (Repaint of Hound).

Transformation:

Just like any Alternator or Binaltech release the transformation of the vehicle to robot mode is tenious. If your not familiar with the toy's original concept of engineering taken from the previous Car Robots/RiD line. Difficult but challenging once you get yourself familiarized with the vehicle to robot mode transformation it will be come second nature.

Robot Mode:

Lambor stands out not because of his much familiar robot mode, but his color since its not officially yellow. The face mould down to the joints, and hinges on the robot's body has been copied to perfection save for the quality.

Though I'm not a fan of Lambor's (Sideswipe in the US) current robot reincarnation I would still prefer the "old school" version of the vintage edition.

Overall:

Like the official release Lambor (Sideswipe in the US) in both Alternator, and Binaltech Yellow Lambor stands out not because of the toy itself. The attraction started due to his unoffi cial yellow color, that sparked fans to demand of the official release of Sunstreaker.

Just for fun and Bootleg docomeentary Yellow Lambor is a good buy. For PhP 750.00 pesos you got yourself a Binaltech edition, that's not a official release.

He gets 4 out of 5 Robot Points.
